Suminagashi is a Japanese tradition of paper marbling - come try it out! Carefully paint onto the surface of water and use wind created by a fan to move it about before capturing your ephemeral creation on paper. This ancient process translates to mean floating ink.

This program is part of our Elements of Summer celebration. Each day we'll honor one of the four ancient elements; Wind, Water, Earth, and Fire, and how they combine to make summer such a special time of the year.
