Youth Workshop Series: Lasercutting
Youth Workshop Series
This workshop is SOLD OUT.
Come explore how this new technology is changing the way we create! You'll gain in-depth knowledge of lasercutting technology as you cut and engrave materials such as cardboard, wood, plastic, even food.
Participants can create a design on paper and scan it while here, or bring an original design from home that you will lasercut. Expect to leave with a small laser etching or cut of the design.
Workshops are $5 per participant and advanced registration is required. Click here to register.
Museum admission is NOT required to attend the workshop. Participants may be dropped off by a parent or guardian in the Museum lobby and will be escorted to the workshop by a Museum staff member after their registration has been verified. After the workshop is over, participants can be picked up in the Museum lobby. Museum admission must be purchased if participant plans to visit the Museum before or after the duration of the workshop.
The Youth Workshops Series is designed for youth ages 10 and up, and takes a more in-depth look into a variety of MAKESHOP and Studio activities. Check the calendar - and the left margin on this page - to find future workshops in the Youth Workshop Series.
