Early Learning: Young Sprouts
Early Learning Program
Join us for a nature-focused exploration of treasures, art, songs and stories! Program location is weather dependent: we will be in the Garden if weather allows; find us in the Nursery if weather is less than ideal.
Our May schedule is as follows:
May 2: May Day! Tree Decoration & Flower Crowns
May 9: Magic Beans - Part of Remake Learning Days 2019! Do you love the story of Jack and the Beanstalk? Explore the wonder of plants through garden fables, seeds and the magic of germination! Join us for a garden story time, seed exploration and a planting project to take home. If weather allows, this program will take place outside in the museum garden.
May 16: Pollinator Pals - Part of Remake Learning Days 2019! Do you love May flowers? How about bees and butterflies? Explore how flowers become fruit through the wonder of pollination! Learn about this concept through a pollen craft, game and story. Take home flower seeds and learn how you can be a friend to pollinators! If weather allows, this program will take place in the museum garden.
May 23: Princess & the Pea
May 30: Colors in Nature
This program is drop-in, so feel free to come and go as you please! This program is designed for our youngest learners (0-5) but suitable for all ages. For more information about Early Childhood Learning, visit our home page!
