In honor of Fred Rogers and his philosophy of caring, Pennsylvanians across the state will be performing acts of kindness today, the 143rd day of the calendar year.
Mister Rogers considered 143 a special number because there is one digit in “I,” four in “love” and three in “you.” Learn more and follow the Kindness Tracker here. #143DayinPA
Join us for these activities:
Kindness Lemonade Stand
Noon - 1:00 pm
Make a promise to do a good deed and in exchange for this pledge, you'll receive a refreshing cup of lemonade.
Seeds of Change
2:00- 3:00 pm
Forgiveness can be difficult, but it can be an act of kindness as well. In this activity, write or draw a memory of how someone made you mad or sad, then rip up the paper and combine it with a seed and dirt mixture. Then take this seed bomb home, plant it and watch the flowers grow, turning your the experience into something tangibly beautiful.
