MuseumLab is proud to be a regional host for the 2020 Rube Goldberg Machine Contest.

Come see the machines that six local Apprentice level teams (ages 8-11) & Division 1 (ages 11-14) created to fulfill this year's Rube Goldberg task: Turn off a light!

See the teams' machines in action from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm on the Second Floor of MuseumLab.

WHAT IS A RUBE GOLDBERG MACHINE CONTEST?

A Rube Goldberg Machine Contest (RGMC) is an event where students compete with the machines they have imagined, designed and created in a fun and competitive forum. The competitions encourage teamwork and out-of-the-box problem solving, in a fresh learning environment and level playing field. To compete in a RGMC, all you need is a good imagination and a pile of junk!
