Mia Tarducci is a visual artist living and working in Pittsburgh. Although she is widely cognized or working in massive scale utilizing color-driven abstract expressionist style, Mia has smaller concept driven series that develop concurrent to the work. As a graduate of Georgetown University’s School of Languages and Linguistics, Mia has always marveled at how we use words and more specifically how we play with them.

Some Big Words was an opportunity for Mia to merge her enthusiasm for the “WORD” series with her passion or working BIG. Mia continues to enjoy the inherent playfulness of the series and has developed different iterations of the original piece alongside her abstract works.
