APRIL COLLECTION
Aluminum Cans
Donate six (6) or more aluminum cans to receive one free admission for the same day. Cans must be empty and clean.

Aluminum cans are 100% recyclable and when recycled, the metal in an aluminum can will be back on store shelves in just 60 days. The Children’s Museum’s aluminum-can recycling efforts are in partnership with the Ball Foundation. You can bring in aluminum cans to recycle in the Cafe every day during open hours. (Please note: Free admission is only offered in April 2026 for aluminum can donations.)

WHERE TO DONATE
A collection bin will be available inside the Children’s Museum during open hours. Check here for the Museum’s open hours.

Check this page and Children’s Museum social media accounts at facebook.com/pghkids and Instagram @pghkids for details on each monthly collection and our community partners. Read the press release here.

The Year of Kindness builds on the Children’s Museum’s 25+ year history of collecting sweaters for those in need through the Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood Sweater Drive.

If you are interested in collaborating with the Children’s Museum on a collection drive, please contact hi@pittsburghkids.org.
