Art Studio: Sgraffito on Clay Tiles

Sgraffito (an Italian word meaning ‘to scratch’) is a decoration technique where a layer of slip is applied to a leather-hard piece of clay, then it is scratched or carved away to reveal the contrasting color of clay underneath.
Join our art education specialist at the clay table in the Studio to try out the sgraffito technique on clay tiles!
Parents or caregivers must attend with children.
