about the program

How do we create the conditions for deep thinking and learning within our classrooms, buildings, and school communities?

How can we design for and with diverse learners and in diverse contexts?

What does it mean to understand? How does understanding develop?

Join educators from across the nation as we explore questions like these: An inspiring deep dive into what it means to learn — and how to make it joyful.

As a member of Agency by Design Pittsburgh, the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh partners with Northgate School District, Remake Learning, and the AIU to host two large convenings each year. The meetings feature keynotes and interactive breakout sessions facilitated by innovative and passionate educators from the greater Pittsburgh area and Harvard’s Project Zero – a world-renowned research group whose “mission is to understand and nurture human potentials – such as learning, thinking, ethics, intelligence and creativity – in all human beings.”
