Help Build the Museum Lab Climber!
You can help us create Museum Lab, a place where youth 10 and older can work with makers to create everything from furniture to apps, experiment with cutting edge technology to create art and much more.
A new three-story climber is currently being built in Museum Lab in the former Carnegie Library steel book stacks and featuring rope structures created by artist Mantzalin, woven using traditional bobbin lace techniques. Click here to help build the Climber at any level.
Museum Lab will open in April 2019 in the former Carnegie Free Library of Allegheny, an historic building next door to the Children's Museum in Allegheny Commons. Learn more about the project here.
Your Donation Makes a Difference
As a non-profit organization, Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh relies on private contributions from donors like you to provide children and families with innovative museum experiences that inspire joy, creativity and curiosity.
Admission and membership fees cover only 60% of the Museum's annual expenses. Your gift helps to cover essential operating expenses like art and technology supplies, exhibits and public programs, field trips for low-income students, outreach to schools, maintenance of our award-winning facilities and much more.
There are many ways to give – through gifts to our Annual Fund, corporate sponsorships, EITC contributions, matching gifts, planned gifts or through donations made in tribute to a friend or family member. We accept gifts of cash, stock and securities.
The official registration and financial information of the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh may be obtained from the Pennsylvania Department of State by calling toll-free, within Pennsylvania, 1-800-732-0999. Registration does not imply endorsement.
