Recycle Fest

In honor of Earth Month, join us for a campus-wide recycling festival!

Aluminum Can Drive
Help us get more aluminum  recycled in our community by donating empty aluminum cans to our drive. All donors receive one free admission per family of four, good for admission on April 5, 2025.

Aluminum cans are 100% recyclable and when recycled, the metal in an aluminum can will be back on store shelves in just 60 days.

Get ready for summer break by shifting into vacation mode at MuseumLab!

Enjoy picnic-themed snacks and drinks, and try your hand at some of these classic and digital summer camp activities:

Join us for a PALentine’s Day-themed Youth Night! Bring your besties and buddies for an evening of activities, games, and snacks.

  • Silent Disco
  • Friendship bracelets and pins
  • Visiting the game room for a chance to win prizes

Get a behind the scenes view of our newest exhibit, I Am WILD!: A Charley Harper Exhibit for some creative education inspiration!

  • Explore the interactives in six different habitats filled with colorful animals, insects and birds inspired by the artwork of Charley Harper
  • Learn about diversity in the natural world and make your own art in Harper’s style of “minimal realism”
  • Find out more about Charley Harper and his full body of work, and participate in activities that will inspire new ideas for your classroom and your own creative journey

Join us for the opening day of our new exhibit, I AM WILD: A Charley Harper Exhibit, where you can explore six habitats filled with the colorful animals, insects and birds inspired by the artwork of Charley Harper and the ‘I Am Wild’ series of children’s books about biodiversity.

Have some live animal encounters with our friends from Living Treasures Animal Park and learn how the animals relate to Charley Harper’s art.

Black History Month Art Crawl

Join us for our second annual Black History Month Art Crawl!

Contemporary artists stationed throughout the Museum’s first floor will create live portraits and artworks honoring Pittsburgh’s Black heroes, both past and present.
