Copper Enameling 101: Intro to Enameling (Ages 10+)

Design and draw on small pieces of copper, then add color using powdered glass. This workshop introduces the techniques and processes used in enameling, including using a high-temperature kiln to melt glass onto metal. Your creations can be taken home at the end of the session.

Location: MuseumLab 

MuseumLab is the Children’s Museums’ new art/tech/making space for youth and teens, located next door to the Children’s Museum. 

Parking is available at the Children’s Museum. 

Please plan to arrive at MuseumLab 5 minutes before the scheduled start time of the workshop. Workshop registration does not include museum admission. Parental waiver required.

  • Enameling 101 lays the foundation required to participate in the future. The next advanced enameling workshop is Enameling 102, on April 16th.
