Summer camps at Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh and MuseumLab are where kids can explore art, making, storytelling, nature, game design, metalworking and much more!
Camps take full advantage of our award-winning exhibits, art studios, maker spaces and garden, all on the largest children’s campus in the country. Camp programs are developmentally appropriate and fun, and provide enriching experiences that inspire joy, creativity, curiosity and kindness.

Camp Rates
Grades PreK through Kindergarten (Ages 4-5)
$250 per week
Extended Day option (2:00 – 4:00 pm): $50 per week
Grades 1 – 8 (Ages 6-13)
$300 per week
Please note:
Camps on the week of June 20-23 are pro-rated because of the Juneteenth holiday.
MEMBER DISCOUNT
Children’s Museum members receive 10% off camp rates and the extended day option for PreK – K.
Members use code MEMCAMP10 to apply the discount. Membership will be confirmed at registration.
Scholarships
The Children’s Museum is proud to offer scholarships for three metalworking camps for Pittsburgh Public School students through the generous support of the Arconic Foundation. These apply to the following camps:
For Grades 4 – 5
Intro to Metals – August 7-11
For Grades 6 – 8
Metal Sculpture – June 20-23
Intro to Metals – July 17-21
Families are invited to apply for this scholarship by completing the form below. You must indicate the age/grade level of the child you are applying for, and the week(s) of camps that you are interested in.
Metalworking Camp Scholarship for PPS students
If we are able to offer your child a scholarship, you will receive an email with registration instructions. You must confirm the spot within 5 business days of notification.
If demand exceeds the capacity of our scholarship program, eligible applicants will be selected via lottery.
Scholarships for Recipients of SNAP / EBT benefits have all been distributed at this time.
Food & Drink
LUNCH
Campers are welcome to bring their own lunch. We are not able to refrigerate or heat lunches.
You can also choose to order lunches prepared daily by Bean Sprouts, the Museum’s café. Bean Sprouts lunches must be ordered at least 1 week before the first day of your camp, and must be for a full week.
Cost: $45 per week / $50 per week for gluten free lunches
You will receive information on how to order Bean Sprouts lunches once you register for a camp.
SNACKS & WATER
Healthy snacks will be provided to all campers daily. Please indicate any camper allergies, dietary restrictions or sensitivities on your Camper Information Form.
Water bottles can be filled throughout the day.
cancellation policy
Campers can transfer their camp registration, pending availability, or cancel for a full refund, until April 30.
Camp registration changes or cancellations made from May 1- 31 will be charged a $25 fee per camp.
We cannot accommodate any registration changes or refund camp cancellations after May 31.
The Children’s Museum reserves the right to cancel or change any camp as necessary. Campers will be contacted by email two weeks in advance of the start date of their camp if there are any changes. All registered children will have the option of attending another camp (pending availability) or receiving a refund.
