The camp day is 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Scholarships for Metalworking Camps

Scholarships are available for two metalworking camps for Grades 6 – 8 camps for Pittsburgh Public School students through the generous support of the Arconic Foundation.  Those two camps are:

Metal Sculpture – June 20-23
Intro to Metals – July 17-21

June 20-23

Metal Sculpture
Design, plan and fabricate large- and small-scale metal sculptures using hot and cold connections, color and hammer forming. Presented by the Arconic Foundation.

June 26-30

Book Arts
Learn bookmaking as you experiment with different materials and binding techniques to create unique books and fill the pages with your creativity.

July 10-14

Cosplay
Learn how costume design and makeup techniques can transform you and the world around you to bring fantastic characters and stories to life.

July 17-21

Intro to Metals
Explore metalworking through tools and techniques such as electro etching, sawing, enameling and soldering. Presented by the Arconic Foundation.

July 24-28

Woodworking
Use real tools and learn new skills as you design and fabricate wood projects that play with different forms and functions.

July 31-August 4

Nature Design
Explore environmental design, gardens and art processes using natural materials as we get outside and get creative.

August 7-11

Art A-Z
Explore the work of different artists and create your own mixed media pieces using a wide variety of art techniques.

August 14-18

Rug Tufting
Explore the latest trends in rug making, where art and technology meet to create beautiful things.
