Children’s Museum Hours

  • Monday – Sunday
    10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Closed on select Wednesdays throughout the year.

MuseumLab Hours

  • Saturday & Sunday
    Noon – 5:00 PM

Closures

The Children’s Museum and MuseumLab are closed on the following days:

  • November 28, 2024, for Thanksgiving
  • December 25, 2024, for Christmas Day
  • January 1, 2025, for New Year’s Day
  • May 26, 2025, for Memorial Day
  • June 19, 2025, for Juneteenth
  • July 4, 2025, for Independence Day
  • Labor Day and days following for annual maintenance, upgrades and staff training

admission

We encourage all visitors, including members and children under 2, to reserve tickets in advance for the day you wish to visit through our online reservation system. Having your tickets printed or on your phone speeds along your admission so you can spend more time having fun!

Reserved tickets are good all day – you can arrive at your desired time and stay as long as you like.

Walk-up tickets are also available.

$5 tickets are available every day starting at 3 pm.

Admission Discounts & Reciprocal Admission

We offer a variety of discounts for visitors, including participating in the Museums of All program and offering reciprocal admission through the ACM and ASTC programs.

Free admission is also provided to any therapeutic support staff, counselor, doctor, therapist or nurse that accompanies a visitor as part of their professional responsibilities. Please provide employee identification at the Admissions Desk to receive admission.

MuseumLab – Lower Level

There are also designated quiet areas in the following exhibits: Art Studio, Nursery, Waterplay and Traveling Exhibits Gallery.

Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh may make, use and publicize photographic and videographic images and audio recordings of Museum visitors in public spaces of the facility, along with their first names and likenesses, for marketing and promoting the Museum, the activities, the Museum’s partners or collaborators, and for other business purposes. Visitors authorize the Museum to engage in such use and publicity  without additional payment of any kind to them. Visitors further release, discharge and agree to hold harmless the Museum from any liability that may arise from such use and publicity, including without limitation any claims by visitors for libel or violation of any right of publicity or privacy.
