We have implemented a timed ticketing online reservation system to ensure a safe and comfortable visit for everyone.
We strongly encourage all visitors to reserve tickets for the day and time you wish to visit. Quantities are limited and tickets may not be available for walk-up visitors.
You may also reserve tickets by calling 412.322.5058, ext 210, during open hours.
Note: Each discount may only be used individually and not in conjunction with other Museum discounts or for group visits.
Members may purchase guests admission at $3 off the regular admission price. You have the option to purchase member guest tickets when you log in as a member to reserve your tickets online.
Museums for All
Those who receive food or medical benefits with an EBT card can get reduced admission to the Children’s Museum as part of the Museums for All program:
- All PA ACCESS card holders and PA ACCESS EBT card holders receive $2 admission each, up to 4 people (including the cardholder). PA ACCESS or ACCESS EBT card and photo ID for EACH ADULT being admitted on the card required. Adult IDs must show same address as cardholder. Limit one card per household.
- All SNAP EBT card holders from any state receive $2 admission each, up to 4 people (including the cardholder).
To receive this discount, choose the “Museums for All” category when purchasing tickets online.
You must present a valid ACCESS or SNAP card at Admissions when you visit to receive this discount.
Active, Retired and Veteran Military Families
Active, retired and veteran military members (military ID holder only), including active Reserve and active National Guard members, plus up to 4 family members of the military ID cardholder, receive $5 admission.
When purchasing tickets online, please use code MIL22 to receive this discount.
Note: The military members is required to present an active, retired or veteran military ID card at admission to receive this discount. Family members must present a dependent ID card (DD Form 1173) to receive this discount.
Active military members do not need to be present.
From Memorial Day to Labor Day, we offer a discount as a participant in the Blue Star Museums program.
UPMC Health Plan Members
$3 off up to 4 people. UPMC Health Plan card required.
Association of Children's Museums (ACM) Reciprocal Network
If you are a member of another children’s museum in the Association of Children’s Museums (ACM) Reciprocal Network, you can receive 50% off admission up to 6 people listed on your institution’s membership.

You must present a current membership card from an ACM Reciprocal Network museum with the ACM Reciprocal Network logo on the card and a valid photo ID with proof of residence at Admissions when you visit to receive this discount.
Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) Travel Passport Program
If you are a current member of an institution in the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) Travel Passport Program, you can receive free admission for up to 2 adults and up to 3 children listed on your institution’s membership.

You must present a current membership card from an institution in the ASTC Travel Passport Program and a valid photo ID with proof of residence at Admissions when you visit to receive this discount.
Note: You must live more than 90 miles away (“as the crow flies”) from Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh for benefits to apply. Membership to Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh is not reciprocal with membership to Carnegie Science Center (Pittsburgh, PA) or the McKinley Presidential Library & Museum (Canton, OH), and vice versa.
