F.I.N.E. Artist Program: Mosaics

Join our F.I.N.E. Artist in Residence Sandi Timbus as they lead visitors through exploring the process of mosaic tiling to create works of art.

This is a drop-in style workshop in the Children’s Museum’s Art Studio.

Sandi is a mosaic artist who uses thousands of pieces of stained glass, china, tiles, found objects and Italian smalti (square pieces of cut colored glass) and to create  painterly mosaic pieces. She spends many hours cutting material by hand and placing individual pieces to create the desired design.
