F.I.N.E. Artist Program: Clay/Pottery Wheel Throwing
February 8 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Join F.I.N.E. Artist in Residence Audra Clayton for throwing demonstrations on the potter’s wheel. Visitors can also literally “step” into her work and see the types of cool patterns their shoe treads create in clay!
Audra Lynn Clayton has been a practicing potter and sculptor for more than 20 years. She has focused on functional work for the majority of that time but has recently returned to her roots to make sculptures as well. The majority of her work is thrown on the potter’s wheel. She fires her work in wood, soda and gas kilns for the interesting effects of the atmosphere in the kiln. Audra is also the studio arts manager at the Pittsburgh Center for Arts and Media where she finds great joy in facilitating opportunities for the artists there to thrive.
The Fresh, Innovative, Non-stop Expression (F.I.N.E.) Artist Residency is made possible by The Fine Foundation.
