Zine Release Party with Ceci Ebitz

Featured Programs & Event

September 17, 2017

Join us in the Art Studio to celebrate the release of a new zine created by one of our favorite guest artists, Ceci Ebitz! Get a copy of her new zine to learn more about how you can use natural materials to dye fabrics. And talk to Ceci about how she hand crafted each unique page of her zine. Then, give your thoughts and images a voice by exploring zine making for yourself!

Zines are self published print media cheaply produced via photocopier and given or sold by people like you, with something to share. Last fall, Ceci completed her F.I.N.E. Artist Residency where she worked closely with the our Garden Educator, Annie, to harvest plants from the garden to use as natural dyes. During that time she created A Beginner’s Guide to Natural Dying. She returned to the Museum in the spring to continue her work with natural dyes, and she began work on a new zine called Rainbow Roots and Blooms!
