REMAKE LEARNING DAYS: F.I.N.E. Art Resident: Merav Kamel
Join Merav in the Art Studio to help create a collaborative human-like creature! You can sew and stuff fabric to make a whimsical limb, then, add your body part to the collaborative creature. Merav often makes creatures like this in her studio with her partner Halil Balabin. She explores different forms in her imagination, and brings them to life with fabric, wire, and more!
Merav is a painter and soft sculpture artist from Tel Aviv, Israel. She recived her BFA from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design Jerusalem in 2012. Kamel’s works have been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions including: Herzliya Museum; Ha’Kibbutz Gallery, Tel Aviv; Basis Gallery, Herzliya; Contemporary Gallery, Tel aviv; Inga Gallery, Tel aviv, among other venues. Kamel is a member of Barbur Galley in Jerusalem, a socially engaged, independent, artists-run-space. Since 2013, Kamel has been working in collaboration with the artist Halil Balabin.
Museum admission is $8 per person on May 17 from 1:00 - 5:00 pm.
