Enjoy free live music outside in the sunshine at Buhl Community Park at Allegheny Square. Bring your lunch and enjoy family-friendly concerts on a solar-powered sound system Wednesdays at 12:15 p.m. in July and August.
July 24 Luke McLaughlin: AKA Young Fool, a one-man band solo performer with blues, folk and hip-hop influences.
July 31 Feralcat: the debut solo project by Pittsburgh-based saxophonist Roger Rafael Romero, the music is equal parts prog rock, jazz fusion and art rock.
August 7 Mista Cookie Jar & The Chocolate Chips: LA-based "kindie rocker,” Mista Cookie Jar (aka Cesar J. Pizarro), performing urban-island-folky-rock-and-roll sounds for the inner child in all of us
August 14 Stone Throwers: folk, funk, and rock - weaving thoughtful lyrics into the infectious beats of Groove Americana.
August 21 Clara Kent: Clara Kent is a "Multidimensional Artistic Individual" from Homewood, Pa. who performs a soulful blend of R&B.
August 28 Contraduo: Pittsburgh-based chamber ensemble, comprised of double bassists Emily Tarantino and Riley Zimmermann. Though rooted in classical music, they play a wide array of styles, including baroque, jazz and popular music.
This program is weather permitting! In the event of inclement weather, performances will be moved indoors pending available space in the Museum.
