Mandarin Project Scent Exploration for Ages 8+
Explore “mandarin” as both a fruit and a language with guest artist Xinan Ran as part of their Mandarin Project. Become scent explorers, smelling and mixing gentle scents from different kinds of citrus fruits, and create your original scent blend. Along the way, we’ll share stories about the memories these scents bring up.
Please note that this 75-minute workshop involves working with concentrated scents of the following essential oils: mandarin, lemon, grapefruit, sweet orange and lime.
Presented in honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander History Month.
Spots are limited. Children 8+ can attend workshops without a parent. Children’s Museum admission and parent/caregiver required if visiting the Children’s Museum or MuseumLab outside of the workshop. Parents who wish to participate should also purchase a workshop ticket.
