Seeking Older Adults to Share Craftsman Skills
We are looking for older adults to share their passion for making and fixing things to lead demonstrations, conversations and/or workshops with kids and families as part of the Meet the Makers programs this spring at the museum!
Skills include:
- Furniture building or repair
- Knitting, crochet or lace making
- Repairing radios, sewing machines, or other home appliances
- Specialty and hobby skills such as tying flies
Each participant will receive a small honorarium as well as costs to cover materials and other supplies.
All participants are required to have state-mandated child abuse clearances. The costs for receiving these will be covered by the Children’s Museum.
