Seeking Older Adults to Share Craftsman Skills

We are looking for older adults to share their passion for making and fixing things to lead demonstrations, conversations and/or workshops with kids and families as part of the Meet the Makers programs this spring at the museum!

Skills include:

  • Furniture building or repair
  • Knitting, crochet or lace making
  • Repairing radios, sewing machines, or other home appliances
  • Specialty and hobby skills such as tying flies

Each participant will receive a small honorarium as well as costs to cover materials and other supplies.

All participants are required to have state-mandated child abuse clearances. The costs for receiving these will be covered by the Children’s Museum.
