Recognizing that many museums do not have their own research teams, we share our expertise to advance the broader field. In 2023, the Association of Children’s Museums hired the Museum’s Learning and Research Department to develop two information briefs that summarize relevant research for children’s museums. The first brief focused on the topic of mental health and what museums can do to support children’s mental wellbeing. A second brief summarized research about the power of play in museums.
