pre-k /head start classrooms
Two Pittsburgh Public Schools’ Pre-K /Head Start classrooms call the Children’s Museum home and use exhibits and programs for hands-on exploration.
about the program
The Children’s Museum has partnered with Pittsburgh Public Schools since 2005 to include two pre-kindergarten / Head Start classrooms for children ages 3–5 in the Museum.
The pre-k classes use the Museum as a learning environment, going beyond the traditional classroom and visiting exhibits and programs to supplement their hands-on exploration.
Museum educators connect with the students through informal Museum experiences.
