Join artist Roderick Ramsey, founder of Ocular Arcade, to explore color theory as an individual and as part of a group. This program is a part of a monthly series highlighting pairs of opposites featured in the exhibit Opposites Abstract: A Mo Willems Exhibit, now open in Museum Lab.
Individual Activity: Create your own works of art using multi-color construction paper with printed shape templates. Then, cut out the shapes and colors, and juxtapose the pieces together to form an original one-of-a-kind piece.
Group Activity: Assist in painting a large canvas designed by the artist. Each hour, the group will work on a designated section of the canvas to work toward the completion of the canvas by the end of the day. Paint used will be Acrylic CFC and Lead Free paints.
Explore the various ways to paint, print, stamp, build, and experiment with blocks!
