Create a more sustainable future using fabric scraps and sewing skills in MAKESHOP! How might you repurpose small pieces of fabric that might otherwise end up in a landfill? How can you use sewing techniques to mend fabric items?
Explore hand sewing with extra cozy materials. We’ll work with fleece, felt, and other fuzzy fabrics and attach them using needles and thread.
Join us in MAKESHOP as we explore the art and practice of sewing. Try different stitches, use needle and thread to attach fabric together, investigate the sensory qualities of fabric and fiber, and experiment with stuffing fabric shapes.
