Workshop for Ages 7-10: MicroGREEN Thumbs
April 23, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Let’s try a really SMALL gardening project that you can do entirely inside on your window sill: growing microgreens! These are seeds that you grow to be snacked on as seedlings, ready in just a couple weeks. Join us for growing nutty and delicious sunflower shoots.
Participants will be mailed a kit of supplies including soil, tray, seeds and a recipe. In this live virtual workshop, participants can plant along, ask questions and learn how to care for, harvest and enjoy the shoots as a healthy snack.
This workshop is the second of a microgreen series, in which we learn how to grow a different microgreen crop. For the young microgreen enthusiast, sign up for one, two or all three!
We ship supplies after registration.
* Pre-workshop prep: Please soak your seeds the night before in a cup of water.
