Health and Safety
Children's Museum is open daily with exhibits, programs, art and making activities and more. Use our online ticketing system to reserve your tickets today.
tickets
We encourage you to reserve tickets for the day you wish to visit in advance through our online reservation system. Having your tickets printed or on your phone will speed along your touchless entry.
You only choose the day of your visit – you are welcome to arrive at your desired time and stay as long as you like.
Walk-up tickets are also available.
Touchless Operations
Our touchless admission system in the Museum’s lobby allows vsitors to scan their admission ticket purchase receipt for admission. Members can scan their electronic member cards for admission.
You will find touchless hand sanitizers throughout the building and motion detectors to allow hands-free operation of bathroom lights and paper towel dispensers.
Masks
Masks are optional at the Children’s Museum and MuseumLab for visitors ages 2+ when Allegheny County is at a COVID risk level of Low or Medium. Masks are available upon request.
Food & Drink
Bean Sprouts offers full food service in The Café. Learn more here.
You are welcome to bring your lunch or snack and drink and eat it in the Café during your visit.
Café seating is arranged to accommodate social distancing. We ask that you maintain the seating arrangement when you visit the Café.
Water fountains in the Children’s Museum and MuseumLab are not operating. Water bottle fillers are operating.
We ask that you keep food and drink in the Café and do not bring it into the exhibits; bottled water only is permitted in the exhibits.
You are also welcome to have your lunch or snack outside in front of the Museum or in nearby Buhl Community Park. The park has tables and chairs (seasonally), an expansive lawn, benches and a refreshing misting sculpture by Ned Kahn, Cloud Arbor, that is a favorite with children.
