Summer Camps

Enrich your summer with our week-long interactive camps

Join us in the summer to be curious, creative and innovative! 2018 dates TBD. We offered these experiences for Summer 2017:

Nature Adventure Camp

Ages 8-12
June 26 - 29, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Explore the wild and wonderful outdoors at the Children’s Museum! Campers will deepen their connection with nature through gardening, natural art, herbal remedies, harvesting, food sampling and more! Participants will also visit Museum exhibits and enjoy summer camp activities!

Price: $200 for non-members, $175 for members

A limited number of full-scholarships are available for Nature Adventure Camp. Those interested in a scholarship should call 412-322-5058, x241.


Ages 8-12
July 10 - 14, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Tinker, create and explore in MAKESHOP®! We’ll focus on concepts in electronics, circuitry, sewing and woodworking. Campers will work with our Teaching Artists to play and design using real materials, tools and processes. Outdoor summer camp activities and additional Museum experiences will also be included in the week!

Price: $250 for non-members, $225 for members

Art Camp

Ages 8-12
July 24 - 28, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Express your unique voice and vision through playful exploration of artistic processes! Campers will experiment with ceramics, printmaking, fiber arts and painting, and connect art making to the works of art throughout the Children's Museum. Each day will focus on a different theme, technique or medium. Participants will also enjoy additional outdoor and summer camp activities!

Price: $250 for non-members, $225 for members
