Early Childhood Learning
Programming at the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh
Our youngest learners and the people who share meaningful interactions with them throughout their lives are our priority. We believe in providing fun, dynamic experiences that inspire joy, creativity, and curiosity in our youngest learners!
Pack your bags and join us for an adventure around the Museum! Grab a guide in the lobby and start your search for three different artworks in our exhibits.
Hit a note with us for hands-on musical exploration! Test out different instruments to hear what sounds they make and play with others to discover new rhythms. What will you hear when our sounds combine?
Join us in the Nursery for hands-on activities that explore the fascinating world of science and technology. Come experiment, tinker and discover with us!
Catch us on Wellness Wednesdays in the Nursery for fun activities focused on health, nutrition, and mindfulness practices for our youngest learners and their caretakers!
Find us on Thursdays in the Nursery for a nature-focused exploration of treasures, art, songs and stories. We may even explore our Outdoor Classroom if weather permits!
All programming is included in Museum admission and recommended for children 5 years of age and younger.
Children's Museum of Pittsburgh's annual Kindergarten-readiness celebration happens in August.
Check our Calendar of Events for more information on our program themes and availability.
