Cranberry Day Celebration
Exhibit Related Program
Cranberry Day is one of the many and most important thanksgiving celebrations for the Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribe; it gives the community a chance to give thanks to the creator for this fruit that has always helped the tribe survive. The celebration, traditionally observed on the second Tuesday of October, includes a grand harvest of the wild cranberry bogs, music, dancing, storytelling and of course a potluck feast with dishes that feature the most recent cranberry yield.
Experiment with using blended cranberries that are full of medicinal properties to create your own bath fizz or sugar scrub to ignite your senses in the cafe, 11:00am- 1:00pm.
Taste the flavor of this delightful fruit with a very special Cranberry Day Potluck themed Fresh Picks in the café, 11:00am-1:00pm. Brought to you in part by Eat'n Park Hospitality Group.
