SOLD OUT Youth Workshop Series: 3D Modeling and Printing
Youth Workshop Series
Explore 3D printing and the technology that allows us to control it. We will be working with a free, browser-based platform TinkerCAD, to design our own models from scratch. You will be able to see 3D printing in action and look at our collection of 3D printed objects big and small. The objects that we will be modelling will not be printed and ready to take home by the end of the workshop. With this in mind we ask that you either bring a self-addressed envelope or come back and pick up your object within 30 days of the workshop.
Workshops are $5 per participant and advanced registration is required. Click here to register.
Museum admission is NOT required to attend the workshop. Participants may be dropped off by a parent or guardian in the Museum lobby and will be escorted to the workshop by a Museum staff member after their registration has been verified. After the workshop is over, participants can be picked up in the Museum lobby. Museum admission must be purchased if participant plans to visit the Museum before or after the duration of the workshop.
The Youth Workshops Series is designed for youth ages 10 through teen, and takes a more in-depth look into a variety of MAKESHOP and Studio activities. Check the calendar - and the left margin on this page - to find future workshops in the Youth Workshop Series.
