From Israel to Pittsburgh: A Reception with Israeli Artist Asaf Elkalai

From Israel to Pittsburgh is a collaboration between the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh and Classrooms Without Borders to bring Asaf Elkalai to Pittsburgh with generous support from the Fine Foundation.

Meet and talk with Asaf; mingle with other artists and art supporters; food & complimentary beverage; silk screen a bag to take home. 

Asaf Elkalai was born in Kerem Ben Zimra, and currently based in Tel Aviv, Israel. Graduated with honors MFA from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, BA with honors in Photography from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design Jerusalem, and Art Education Diploma from The Hebrew University.

Today he teaches at Ashdod museum and works as a Social Projects Coordinator and Educational Studies Coordinator at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design. His works range from photography to sculpture to installations has been widely exhibited internationally.
