TapeScape is now closed.
This indoor landscape made of 168 rolls of packing tape - enough to span 185 football fields - was an art installation and play area for children to explore, and an opportunity to spark a sense of wonder and excitement surrounding the unusual and unexpected use of materials and forms.
This was only the third time TapeScape was created in the U.S. The museum built TapeScape under creator Eric Lennartson's instruction using staff and specialized volunteer power. Many thanks to the students from Avonworth High School and the staff from WTW for your help! This was the first time that Lennartson designed a freestanding TotScape section for smaller children.
TapeScape was sponsored by Dominion.
