Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh offers several options for your visit. Groups can pick from a guided, educator-led field trip or a self-guided free play.

PRICE:Guided and unguided field trips are $12 per person.

All field trips require 1 adult chaperone (age 18+) per every 5 students. All required chaperones receive complimentary admission.

All field trips and group visits require a reservation to be made at least two weeks (14 days) prior to your group’s visit.

Guided Field Trips: For groups of 30-200 people maximum. (Groups larger than 30 may be split into smaller groups to visit museum exhibits.) Guided visits are structured, educator-led experiences. Museum educators introduce exhibits, review safety procedures and help maximize your use and enjoyment of each area. Guided field trips last three hours from arrival to departure and can be scheduled Monday – Friday from 10am – 1pm.

All guided trips include discounted admission to the museum, free admission for your required chaperones, a schedule aligned to your group’s needs, and a dedicated lunch space for your group.

Unguided Field Trips: For groups of 15-30 students maximum. Unguided field trips are self-led visits that offer flexibility for free-play and exploration. Unguided trips can be scheduled Monday-Friday with check-in times throughout the day.

All unguided trips include admission to the museum for the day and free admission for your required chaperones. A dedicated lunch space can be provided for your group upon request. (Lunch space subject to availability.)
