Join us for Summer Storytime Outdoors in the Backyard with Sarah! We’ll read books about nature, summer, and our favorite animals. In case of inclement weather, this event will be moved to the studio.
Step up to the mic and express yourself! Spoken word, music, poetry, dance and other forms of creative expression welcome. The event features a performance by Anyah Nancy. Sign up to participate in the Open Mic by emailing cburton@pittsburghkids.org.
MuseumLab's Gathering Space and Assembly Hall will close at 1:00pm for a special event.
All outdoor activities are free. Paid admission is

The Children's Museum and MuseumLab will be closed from September 5 - 14 for Labor Day, our annual maintenance, cleaning and training days, and preparation for a national conference. Join us in MAKESHOP to explore weaving with unconventional materials. Add warp strings to all kinds of looms, from sticks to recycled containers, then weave using a variety of materials as weft. What textures will you create? What kinds of things might you reuse for weaving?
