CAMPS ARE FOR GRADES 4 – 5, AGES 9 – 10.

Grade levels refer to the grade your child is rising to in the 2024-2025 school year.

All camps take place in MuseumLab, next door to Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh.

Members: $315 per week*
Nonmembers: $350 per week

Note: Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh is closed on June 19. Camp rates for the week of June 17 – 21 are pro-rated to:
Members: $250
Nonmembers: $280

Clay and Sewing Camp Rate:
Members: $335 per week
Nonmembers: $375 per week
Due to increased materials cost

*Children’s Museum members receive 10% off camp rates and the extended day option for PreK – K camps. Use code MEMCAMP10 at registration to receive this discount.  Museum membership will be verified upon registration.

June 17-21

Intro to Tools
Learn to safely use tools like drills, saws and soldering irons. Hot? Sharp? Loud? No problem!

Note: Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh is closed on June 19. Camp rates for this week are pro-rated to reflect this.

June 24 – 28

Coding in Action
Use coding and computers to create cool projects in the real world, from controlling robots to cutting wood with a laser.

July 8 – 12

Studio Arts
Learn classic and contemporary approaches to art studio favorites. Build a mini-portfolio of skills while creating mixed-media sculptures, large scale sketches, experimental paintings and more.

July 15 – 19

Clay Exploration
Learn techniques to create coil pots, slab roll mugs and more in this hands-on ceramics camp. Campers can pick up their kiln-fired pieces one week after the completion of camp.

July 22 – 26

Sewing
Improve (or learn!) how to sew both by hand and on a sewing machine. Try different techniques and tools to see what styles suit you best.

July 29 – Aug 2

Game Design
Board games, card games, field games, paper-and-pencil games… become an expert on what makes great games!

Aug 5 – 9

Science in Nature
Learn about plants, animals and the natural world around you through observation, experiments and play.

August 12 – 16

Animation
From hand-drawn to stop-motion, experiment with different animation techniques while making micro movies.
