Let’s build together! Brick Club is a supportive 7-week program for neurodivergent youth in grades 6-8, where they can have fun, strengthen communication and social skills, and boost their confidence through collaborative LEGO® building.

Brick Club will be held:

Creative Connections: Fashion Design with Cathy Olivar – Grades 6-8

Join local artist Cathy Olivar to learn her journey to becoming a sustainable fashion designer and running her own clothing brand.

Cathy will share how her favorite subjects like math and science, and electives like art, band and theater all inspired her decision to study fashion design in college. She will walk through a typical design project, explaining the process from a design idea to a finished product. Participants will be able to experience the design process and create their own custom pouch!

Duct Tape Workshop for Ages 9+

Help us celebrate the opening of Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh’s newest exhibit, TAPESCAPE, by learning to create a classic ‘90’s accessory, the duct tape wallet!

Learn tips and tricks for creating durable duct tape accessories in this one-hour workshop.

This workshop is offered:

  • Saturday, January 24, 1:00 and 3:00 pm
  • Sunday, January 25, 1:00 and 3:00 pm

Spots are limited. Children 9+ can attend workshops without a parent. Children’s Museum admission and parent/caregiver required if visiting the Children’s Museum or MuseumLab outside of the workshop.

• Make shrink plastic accessories in Make Lab  (This activity uses hot tools and is designed for visitors ages 8 and up)

  • Art walks for kids including a visit to Gymlacium at 1:30, 2:30, 3:30 pm

  • Art tour for adults at 3;00 pm
