Explore hand sewing with extra cozy materials. We’ll work with fleece, felt, and other fuzzy fabrics and attach them using needles and thread.

Join us in MAKESHOP as we explore the process of felting! Use friction, soap and water to create a non-woven fabric from sheep’s wool.

Have you ever wanted to invent your own game? Use your imagination and game logic to create a new pastime, then share it with other visitors.

What colors and patterns can you make using light? Join us in MAKESHOP to try our long-exposure camera setup to “paint” with light.
MAKESHOP: Recycled Scuplture
Join us in MAKESHOP as we reuse and repurpose household materials into sculptures of all shapes and sizes. Find inspiration in the shapes, patterns, textures, and colors of everyday objects, then try various attachment methods to build your own creation.
MAKESHOP: Inclined Planes
This month in MAKESHOP we are exploring simple machines. Join us as we investigate how inclined planes can make moving objects easier. Try adjusting angles and materials, then observe changes in speed and distance travelled.

Work together to create and activate chain-reaction contraptions that use everyday objects to complete simple tasks in the most over-complicated, inefficient and hilarious ways possible! Rube Goldberg™ machines are many things, but they aren’t perfect. Find the fun in failure as you step into the role of storyteller and inventor.
