Buhl Community Park at Allegheny Square

The Children’s Museum partnered with the City of Pittsburgh to revitalize the once desolate public park just outside our doors into a vibrant, sustainable park for our 250,000 annual visitors, the community and the City of Pittsburgh.

Featuring native plants and trees, a green grassy meadow, environmentally friendly water gardens and a central plaza, the new park is a beautiful urban oasis. A captivating new public artwork, Cloud Arbor, by MacArthur Fellowship (Genius Grant) awardee Ned Kahn, enlivens the space with mist and light, helping to draw visitors to the Northside and the Museum. Cloud Arbor was made possible through a gift from the Charity Randall Foundation. For more information about the new park, please see the project's page.

We have been delighted by the tremendous community support for the park project. To date, we have raised more than $6 million. See a full list of Park donors and partners here.

By making a tax-deductible gift today, you can help the Museum to sustain the park through ongoing maintenance and care, and fill the park with lively activities in the months and years ahead.
