11am - 3pm in the SLB Radio Studio
SLB Radio Productions presents a live 4-hour webcast exploring civil rights accomplishments, challenges, and dreams for the future. Hosted by area teens from throughout the region, Streaming Justice will originate from the SLB Radio studios in the Children's Museum and feature music, conversation, listener phone calls and more, all of which will air live at www.slbradio.org or via the TuneIn app at www.tinyurl.com/tuneinslb. For additional information, contact Chanessa Schuler at email@example.com.
10am - 4:30pm in the Studio
In the studio, we're making art that celebrates Pittsburgh's Freedom Corner, the historic intersection of Centre and Crawford Streets in the Hill District and a symbol of the home of the Civil Rights Movement right here in our city.
12 - 3pm in the Studio
We're teaming up with Union Project's Many Hands to highlight the power of working together. In the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we're going to get our hands dirty, work side by side with our neighbors, and add our (clay) pieces to the greater good! Artists of all ages will be invited to create clay birds that symbolize their dreams, which will be photographed and displayed at the Museum.
